This model of education is accomplished with three on campus days and two home educated days.

How does the parent/teacher partnership work?
On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday students are taught on campus by qualified trained teachers. Tuesday and Friday parents teach at home with lesson plans prepared by the teacher. Parents receive their lesson plans two weeks in advance and communication is encouraged between teacher/parent so that teaching and learning is accomplished successfully.

You may take any parenting course offered through your church or a course that may be offered at another SWFCCS family’s church. Families with students in grades seven through twelve are required to take a teen specific parenting course. You have one year to complete your parenting course. After completing these requirements, please notify the Operation Administrator so your course completion can be recorded in our files.

What courses are required after the first year of enrollment?
Part of the mission of SWFCCS is to educate, encourage and equip our families in the twin vocations of parenting and educating their children at home. Each year after the first year of enrollment, families must complete a Family Education Class. To be approved, a class must pertain specifically to marriage, family, education or home schooling.

When did the school open and why?

Southwest Florida Christian Community School opened its doors in September 2007. The school began from the heart of two moms whose desires were to Home Educate their children, but wanted to engage in a partnership of accountability. Our goal is to engage families in the education process not just the students. The families of Southwest Florida Christian Community School share in the values of Christian education and we believe the Bible to be the inerrant word of God. While our school is nondenominational we believe strongly in our faith and relationship with God our Heavenly Father. Our Focus is in the order of: Faith-Family-School of which flows “A Place That Is Christ Centered”.
